Simone Biles’ Mother-In-Law Receiving Wholesome Gift From Son Jonathan Owens Leaves Gymnastics GOAT With Pride: “Proud of You”

 

Arthurine Cannon- that’s the most important person in Jonathan Owens’ life, apart from Simone Biles. Cannon is his mother and what would make a son more happy than giving their mother the best of things? Well, that’s what the Chicago Bears’ players recently did. He got her a new home!

In a heartfelt Instagram post, Owens shared a picture of him signing papers to buy his mother a new house. He captioned it, “Amazing feeling, man, being able to buy your mom a house for all the sacrifices. She deserves everything.”

With a heart brimming with pride, Simone Biles couldn’t contain her joy. She commented, ‘So proud of you, baby ❤️.’ Quite evidently, Jonathan Owens deeply touched his wife with his kindness and grand gesture for his loving mother. Despite their ongoing project of constructing their dream home in an undisclosed area of Texas, the power couple still prioritized this meaningful investment

The importance of JO’s mother in his life has been invariably high, as can be observed in many instances. One such instance was during the Houston Texans vs. LA Charges game in 2021, where they had a monumental win! “It was actually the first game my mom got to come to,” Owens said. “First game she got to come to in the NFL. And I was mic’d up that game, too, which is crazy. I had the best game of my life. So that’s when I knew, I’m where I’m supposed to be.” 

His love and devotion towards his mother have always swayed Simone. So much so that she realized ‘he was the one’ because of how he loved and took care of her. “I knew he was the one when I first met his mom,” she stated in an interview. “She has a little bit of a disability with her walking, she’s gotten a lot stronger, but how he treated his mother and how he treats women, I was like, ‘Wow.'”

Owens’ mother suffers from a muscle disease: polymyositis. It is similar to muscular dystrophy in some ways because the disease deteriorates the body over time. As a result, walking is a problem since one of her legs is weaker than the other one. Additionally, climbing the stairs is difficult for her. While Jonathan Owens has not revealed details about the house he bought for Cannon, we are sure he would have taken these aspects into account.
