Princess Kate makes glaring blunder during Royal Family engagement

Princess Kate made a glaring blunder during her latest Royal Family engagement.

The Princess of Wales teamed up with tennis legend Rodger Federer ahead of Wimbledon getting underway next week.

Federer has secured the Wimbledon trophy eight times during his illustrious career.

He was victorious in London in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2009, 2012 and most recently 2017

Kate and Federer were joined on the tennis court by local ball boys and girls.

In a joint Instagram post, the Princess and tennis pro wrote: "The unsung heroes of @wimbledon.

"The skill and dedication of the Ball Boys and Girls help make The Championships so special.

"They certainly taught us a few things!

In one moment in the footage posted on Wimbledon's Youtube channel, Kate caught Federer's serve with one hand

The eight-time Wimbledon champion asked ballgirl Mollie: "Are you allowed to do that?"

Kate also enquired: "Oh wait, are you allowed to do that?"

Federer then pointed out that at the Australia Open, "they would catch it," but it is not regulation at Wimbledon

Mollie added: "Yeah, you’re not meant to catch it.

"You’re meant to let it bounce and then catch it, but good catch."

Wimbledon will take place from Monday, July 3 and will conclude nearly two weeks later on Sunday, July 16.
